The History of DS Electric of the Hudson Valley

Dave Stewart is the owner and operator of Poughkeepsie’s DS Electric of the Hudson Valley. DS Electric is a full-service Poughkeepsie electrician that specializes in troubleshooting, re-wiring, service upgrades, new circuits, and code compliance for residential and commercial properties.

Dave began his formal electrical services training in the United States Marine Corps as a “Basic Marine Electrician”. Upon leaving the Marines, Dave completed his 5-year NY State Apprenticeship with a well-established Mid-Hudson Valley commercial electrical company. In addition, Dave completed his last year of the program with an electrical company whose focus was Residential services.

With over 12 years of experience providing Residential and Commercial Electrical Contractor Services since 2007. With a lot of hard work, DS Electric became Ulster County’s most go-to reliable electrical contractor.

Since then, Dave has moved his business to Poughkeepsie, NY.  Dave and his team are fully licensed and insured in both Ulster County and Dutchess County. DS Electric services all areas of Poughkeepsie, and Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties.
